Event Description

Nashville Universe is all about meeting people, making music and making connections! Here is the DEAL! The Song Wars Song Contest will go like this:

1. Send one MP3 of the song you want to submit to the contest. NOTE that the format of this contest is open to the public to listen (only members can vote), so make sure you have protected your music! Send ONE song to our email and the title of email should read "contest song entry."

CONTEST IS CLOSED AND IN VOTING. Winner to be annouced 4/9/13 at Dan McGuinness on Music Row at 8PM Live show!

What do you win???

The winner gets a songwriter's dream package....

An acoustic one song demo in the personal studio of TOBY KEITH'S Guitar Player and.... he will play on your song! Nashville Universe will take you out to lunch on Music Row and then to a meeting (with your song) to a MAJOR songplugger and then to a meeting with a MAJOR Music Publisher.

Meeting with songplugger and publisher does not guarantee any deals or contracts its an introduction and designed to kick start your contacts!

Voting and entries are only for members of NashvilleUniverse. Winner gets a demo in Toby Keith’s guitar player’s studio, a meeting with major publisher and a major songplugger. The Wednesday night “Welcome To Nashville” show has be a great success and many have received the exposure they need from labels, publishers and tour managers. Chance is a great host and happy to introduce you to anyone in the room. We are additionally sponsoring a Thursday night show at The Silver Dollar Saloon and are putting together the list for performers for our show during CMAfest. This show was a smash last year and we had lots of music people present. Exposure is the name of the game!

Artist of the Month will begin shortly and submit your entries to SurfNashville [@] g m a i l . c o m. One artist a month will be chosen by us and will be included in emails and links all over the music industry (Nashville, L.A., NYC, Austin, Chicago, etc.). Artist must have an EPK, high res photo and music on NashvilleUniverse to be considered. This is because industry professionals (labels specifically) will request this.
