Ovation gives a specific string listed in their literature & manuals as a 1818 or 1919's , we have tired both & we are happier with the 1919 set on our 6 string, Elite xl , op-pro studio , in…Continue

yes that happen to me too with some thing you want the next big thing out top of line but it way over your head to use it or how . I know what you mean too !

Yes I did forget about all that too like most don't know that as well if you do not work with it like you do . I did not know sale dropped that much so far as CDs too that a big drop , where I work we still ship a lot out to stores . I think a lot people like the CD seeing who and read about them on it too when they first get it too . Younger one don't act like it matter as much doing the down loads now days . So I guess we see what next in this life time and never really know what will take off and go big time.

Almost all of the new CD players are equiped with a memory card slot & a aux input , we even play our cell phone thru it . The memory card allows video & audio both , offers more info like advertising, upcoming events, picture slides as well as more .., only thing for now is quality do to the fact no motion is used to project the images but once the quality happens .., no more CD's ..., they will become a dollar store outcast . After that will be new screen technology to make projection a higher quality . Just walmart alone has decreased its CD sales by 75% & is no longer interested in blank CD's ..

If that ever happen there be a lot of people not playing the new CD in there cars too so that be a bad thing to happen but there be some kind of a pug in that would come out to add in cars I would think too . Times Change I know Hmm what next ?

Some of the new devices have more than enough storage space as well as stamped memory but the quality isn't there yet..., once the quality gets better it will change the market for CD's

Yes I was thinking of that too way back thinking they had the minCD that did not go over , but was thinking there be like a CD on a USB for your car and other things to play being they can make them so small now days . I have tried that lightscribe lable on my computer too but one I did was not color it was on gold I think . I have to work on the master more on sound to get it up to the market level on my recorder .

Joe -----we have also noticed that some CD-R's are of lower quality for your final mix down , we use a lightscribe & burn our cover directly onto the CD face .., many of the store are not selling as many CD blanks now & this makes it a good time to stock up on the better quality CD's .., we feel like they won't be around much longer

One thing about it is you can do as any studio around with it too it all there in one recorder too , just knowing how to use it and a good ear too . I was never to good with the manual at all the CD hands on was a lot more fast and easy to learn the steps you need too .

Another reason why to try the Tascam brand is the sample use video recordings , there are a few on youtube also & yes I too often go back for review to remember things & like said before . The screen on the Tascam mixer/recorder is to small & a larger one would make it much easier . It seems that there is a never ending list you can do with the Tascam . Some not even listed in the manual Joe & we are happy having one & would put it above the rest
